Comet Elenin: There are a lot of rumors and speculation going on about a comet called Elenin. Please do not get sucked into the rumors and fears going around the web.

Elenin has a 10,000 year orbit and will be passing through our neighborhood in September and October. At its closest point, it will be about 100 times away from the earth as compared to the distance from the earth to the moon. There is a good commentary at a NASA web page. There is also a good page from NASA Jet Propulsion Labs to explain Near Earth Asteroids. Numerous orbiting bodies pass less than 1 AU every month. (An Astronomical Unit is the distance from the earth to the sun). Please do not buy into the uneducated ideas about it hitting the earth or having a magnetic field that will shift our poles. It just isn't true.

In astrology, comets do bring new information from outside our solar system. The ancients believed that dire things happened to kings and leaders. From my experience, there do seem to be world changes in leadership when comets are around. Comets do help us see outside ourselves to a larger collective good.

It will be interesting to see what comet Elenin brings to us starting around August as it gets closer to earth. Elenin has certainly generated a lot of interest on the internet, much of it false information. But it is in the collective consciousness on some level now, and in a bigger way when the media starts to announce it later this summer. The youtube video that has been going around suggesting it is the cause of many of our earthquakes is in error, even though the timing fits the author's story well. Since summer of 2010, big planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and even small bodies like Pluto have been making big challenges in their relationship to each other(you may remember articles by me on the T-Square pattern last August). These have a big impact upon forces triggering the earth shifts and political changes we have seen in recent months. So please be smart when reading all of the farfetched web information. It seems like every couple years, someone tries to fulfill the idea that Nibiru is coming through. It isn't Elenin.

Perhaps a lot of this false information and speculation is because Neptune has moved into Pisces (the sign representing illusions and deceptions) :

Neptune moves into Pisces

A significant change is going on now, and it is preparing you up for 2012. Between April 4 and August 4, 2011, spiritual Neptune tests the waters of Pisces. Like tapping your toes into the water before jumping fully into this dreamy sign, you want to pay attention to prophetic insights now to get a hint about what is coming starting in February 2012 when Neptune will travel through visionary Pisces until 2025.

On August 4th, Neptune moves backwards into Aquarius to help you finish any old business since it first entered idealistic Aquarius in 1998. Where Aquarius is scientific, Pisces is intuitive. Where Aquarius is mental and communicative, Pisces is feeling oriented and watery. It would benefit you to look at your ideals since 1998 to see what wants to stay and what no longer holds meaning for you.

As an example: In 1998, I was asked to speak to the Washington State Astrological Assn. on my Seven Ray Spiritual Astrology as a general interest topic. In the fall of 2011, I have been asked to return to teach astrologers the technical side of this form of esoteric astrology so other astrologers can take up the practice of this specialized form of astrology. Check to see if there are some common threads between the late 1990's and now because, like bookends, it is common to see similarities at the beginning and end of a cycle.

The last time Neptune was in Pisces was 1848-1862. The Red Cross was founded then, showing the compassionate side of Pisces. Now, the Red Cross is being brought into greater visibility- my bank teller machine now allows you to give money to the Red Cross for projects such as the Japan earthquake.

The Republican Party was also founded when Neptune was last in Pisces. Now, the Republican Party is searching for its identity with varying ideas ranging from moderate to the Tea Party. There are also a lot of illusions being put forth, so it is good to keep up with web sites that check the facts of what politicians tell us. Being dazed and confused, or overly idealistic is a negative trait of Pisces. After the initial fog, a person bursts through to find clarity.

There were also religious implications to Neptune in Pisces. There was the vision of the Virgin Mother by Bernadette of Lourdes. During another Neptune in Pisces (1684-1698) Pope Pius IX declared the Immaculate Conception to be church dogma (prior to this, individuals could choose to believe or not believe in a virgin birth). In a still earlier Neptune in Pisces (1520-1534), Martin Luther was ex-communicated for protesting against the concept of being allowed to pay money to the church to absolve sins. It would not be a surprise to see reformation within religion during the next 14 years, especially considering that there has been a trend away from organized religion. Although it is too early to say what the trend will be, it seems that people find spirituality to be more important than organized religion. A recent Time Magazine issue featured the buzz over Rob Bell, an evangelical pastor, trying to redefine the concept of hell (and it is a big deal for extreme religions to question basic church dogma). Bell saw a painting that had words saying that Mahatma Gandhi was in hell (because of the evangelical belief that if you do not accept Jesus as the only son of God, then of course you must be doomed). Bell said "I have long wondered if there is a massive shift coming in what it means to be a Christian. Something new is in the air." Remember, this is coming from a very conservative religious philosophy.

On a personal level, Neptune in Pisces will teach you to trust your intuition on a greater level. You will revision your life to be more compassionate with yourself. If you have been just plain tired, then this combination will have you asking yourself if you really need to be doing all the things you think you need to do, or buying all the things you think you need to have. Pisces needs time to float and be creative. More stuff can be a psychic drain. consider how you can change your busy schedule to allow for more creative and intuitive time. Does putting yourself into a higher tax bracket really give you a better quality of life?

In the body, your feet and immune system are tied to Neptune and Pisces. Since Neptune moved into Pisces, clients have been telling me stories about foot surgeries, stubbing their toes, shoe stories and immune system issues.

The ocean, film industry, psychology, psychics, music, addictions and fantasy are all associated with Neptune and Pisces. Certainly the ocean is toxic issues with fish have been in the news a lot since the Gulf oil spill and Japan nuclear event. Recent news from Hong Kong showed the highest grossing 3D porn movie (hey, new energy just comes into our frequency of vibration; we decide what to to with it!).

It is time to revision your life as Neptune teases you in Pisces. Many aspects in your life are dissolving, without necessarily showing you what is next. Be willing to trust your connection to your divine self, because the answers are not going to come from your logical mind.

If you know the natal house containing the early degrees of Pisces, then you have a hint about where in your life things are going to dissolve and find a new vision. So if you are feeling adrift, you are actually on track! Be willing to float into your creative self this summer to see what wants to come forth. Don't expect a clear vision just now, but the hints of what is coming is floating like wisps in the ethers.

On a final note, Presidential elections are coming up. Neptune in Pisces can be a visionary or it can bring up deception and illusions. You will remember the Swift Boat story about John Kerry that put a major hit in his election campaign. It doesn't matter that it was completely false, only that a certain segment of voters believed it. When you hear candidates telling you something, be sure to pay attention to the various sources that check to see if what they say is factual.

The world is at a major shifting point. We must choose between living a life based upon fears and illusions, or bursting through to see truth. We cannot judge what is coming based upon the path that we have been on previously. We must be open to the changes that are upon us.
