Orion Constellation Stars

The hunter is located between the Pleiades and the bright star Sirius. Egyptians thought that Orion was associated with the god Osiris. He was a god of resurection and was often represented as the eye of god (the Masonic Order has such an eye of god in their symbol). People usually recognize it by the three stars making up Orion's belt, and the large red star Betelgeuse. Several of the stars include: Betelgeuse: Located at approximately 28 degrees of Gemini, it is the right hand, arm, and armpit. The ancients considered this to be a star of success when tied to a person's natal chart. Abe Lincoln, James Dean, Martin Luther King, and Marilyn Monroe, and Charles Dickens all had a significant Betelgeuse in their charts. In the channeled work of Alice A. Bailey, the Tibetan (Djwhal Khul) tells us that Betelgeuse is the "tip of the iceberg" of one of seven solar systems in esoteric astrology. It is said to be associated with one of the seven centers within the body tied to "The Onew about Whom Naught May Be Said."
Rigel: Stars located in the feet of a constellation are often about bringing a higher teaching down to earth. Rigel is located in Orion's big toe at approximately 17 degrees of Gemini. It is the educatory and represents teaching society a larger world view. Ptolemy said that Rigel holds the energy similar to Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter is a mentor who share the highest philosophical truth, and Saturn establishes boundaries so that higher ideals can work in the mundane world.
Bellatrix is located at 21 degrees Gemini in the left shoulder of Orion. It represents success by facing the shadow. Personal weakness is exposed so you can strengthen it. Marilyn Monroe had a prominant Bellatrix, which was seen through a vulnerable and tragic sense to her success. The astrologer Ebertin suggests that Bellatrix is associated with a fighting courage, but needs to be careful of recklessness.
Alinlam, Alnitak, and Mintaka are the three stars in the belt of Orion, located between 21-24 degrees Gemini. Understanding of these three stars still needs a lot of work. Alinlam means string of pearls. The three stars of Orion's Belt are considered to be of special significance to Egyptians since many believe that the three pyramids of Giza are tied to them.
